Common household and yard products can be hazardous to fish and wildlife. If you use products, read the label and follow the directions.
What you can do:
- Dispose of leftovers or empty containers properly. Leftover chemicals can be taken to Metro’s hazardous waste transfer stations.
- Sweep up spills; don’t allow material to wash into streets or down a storm drain.
- Never dump anything in a storm drain, stream, ditch or storm pond.
- Keep unused containers closed tightly
