Rural reserve review looks at options for long-term planning flexibility

To help ensure an adequate supply of land to provide long-term economic growth, Clackamas County is reviewing three areas of the county currently designated as rural reserves:

  • Approximately 400 acres east of Canby
  • Approximately 425 acres along Springwater Road south of the Clackamas River
  • Approximately 800 acres south of Wilsonville

If deemed appropriate, the county could recommend that the rural reserve designation be removed from some or all of these areas and become undesignated. This would allow the county more flexibility in how the land could be developed in the long term.

Interested members of the public are invited to attend one of the three open houses scheduled to review the review process. All open houses are from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and will feature a short presentation at 6 p.m.
