Clackamas County is closing East Barlow Trail Road west of Lolo Pass Road from 7 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, through 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, for road and embankment restoration.
The winter floods of 2011 eroded the embankment that protects the roadway adjacent to the Sandy River near milepost 6.0. This project will repair and restore that embankment.
The closure will be in effect 24/7. All vehicles, including emergency vehicles, postal vehicles, school buses and those of local residents will be required to follow the detour route. Detour signs will be posted.
Project updates will be posted throughout the process.
