Construction of safety improvements requires closure of Otty Street through November 15

Clackamas County is temporarily closing Otty Street between SE 80th Avenue and SE 82nd Avenue from 7 a.m., July 11 to 5 p.m., November 15. The closure is need for road improvements to eliminate various safety challenges for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists and the intersection of SE 82nd Avenue, SE Otty Street and Otty Road.

The work zone will be open to emergency vehicles, local residents, garbage vehicles, postal vehicles and school buses. All other traffic will be required to follow the posted detours.

The improvements include:

  • Realigning SE Otty Street with the intersection at 82nd Avenue and Otty Road,
  • Constructing a new two-lane road with sidewalks, landscaping, lighting and storm drainage facilities from the traffic signal at 82nd Avenue and Otty Road west to SE 80th Avenue.
  • Widening Otty Road east of 82nd Avenue to include dual westbound left-turn lanes
  • Adding a sidewalk and bike lane on the north side of Otty Road from 82nd to Fuller Road.
