Clackamas County will stabilize the Milk Creek streambank at milepost 4.3 on Mulino Road during July and August. In order to complete the work, the county will close a 300-foot section of Mulino Road near the west end of Adkins Circle between Fish Road and Lilli Lane from Monday, July 25, through Friday, Aug. 19.
Road closure and detour signs have been posted. The road is closed to all traffic, including emergency vehicles, postal vehicles, garbage trucks and school buses.
Bank erosion on Milk Creek in the area caused a failure of the guardrail when it was struck by a vehicle. The embankment fix will stabilize the stream bank and add more shoulder to the road, which will help absorb shock and maintain the guardrail in the case of future vehicle strikes.
