The Aug. 3 Board of County Commissioners policy session on the rural reserves review process has been postponed in order to give the board time to work through potential additional issues related to the future urban and rural land supply in Clackamas County.
The county's land supply picture has been complicated by the disincorporation of the city of Damascus, which may affect both urban and rural reserves. The board plans to meet in early fall with representatives from agencies involved in the future of the Damascus area. The outcome of those meetings may then impact the discussion about the rural reserves.
The process has involved staff review of materials and an extensive public process, including three open houses in late June. More information is available online.
