Media and Interested Parties
The Social Services Division of Clackamas County Health, Housing, and Human Services will be hosting a candidate forum from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at the Abernethy Center in Oregon City. Doors open at 12:30 p.m.
At this event, Clackamas County state legislative candidates will come together for a bipartisan conversation about issues impacting our community and residents. Interactive round-table discussions will take place on the following topics:
- People living in poverty
- People experiencing homelessness
- People with developmental disabilities
- People with physical disabilities
- People with mental health and addictions issues
- Children, youth, and families
- Domestic violence
- Public Health Modernization (Emergency Preparedness and Communicable Disease)
The Abernethy Center is located at 606 15th St. in Oregon City.
This event provides an opportunity for members of the public to have in-depth discussions with candidates on issues that affect them directly. Candidates will have the opportunity to give firsthand feedback on these issues at the conclusion of the event.
