Clackamas County is seeking applications to fill the vacancy for County Commissioner, Position 5 following Commissioner Jim Bernard's election in November to Commission Chair.
The Position 5 seat has a term of two more years, running through December 2018.
Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Be a resident of Clackamas County for the previous 12 months
- Be registered to vote in Clackamas County
- Be age 18 or older

The application period will close at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Commissioners have indicated that finalists for the seat will be interviewed at a public meeting before formalizing the appointment.
