Sheriff's Office, Happy Valley PD investigate fatal Hwy. 224 crash

Crash sceneThe Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash in Happy Valley. A photo of the crash scene is linked above.

At about 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, deputies assigned to the Happy Valley Police Department responded to a traffic crash on SE Hwy 224 near SE Goosehollow Dr. The crash involved an SUV and motorcycle.

The motorcyclist received aid on scene, but unfortunately succumbed to injuries sustained during the crash and did not survive. The motorcyclist’s identity will not be released at this time, pending family notifications.

The driver of the SUV cooperated with investigators. SE Hwy 224 was closed to preserve the crash scene for the investigators and eventually reopened at about 8:00 PM.

Personnel from Clackamas County Fire District #1, American Medical Response and the inter-agency Criminal Reconstruction and Forensic Technicians (CRAFT) Team assisted at the scene.

The Sheriff's Office reminds drivers to remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings at all times.
