Sheriff's Office helping investigate suspicious fire at Willamalane Apartments; tips sought

At 4:50 a.m. this morning (Thursday, March 26, 2020), Clackamas Fire District #1 and Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a residential fire at the Willamalane Apartments, located on the 4700 block of SE Boardman Avenue in unincorporated Clackamas County.

Fire crews were able to contain the fire to one building. Upon further investigation, the fire was deemed suspicious.

Investigators from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, CCSO Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) UnitOregon State Police, Clackamas Fire, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are now on-scene investigating this suspicious fire.

The American Red Cross arrived and is on-scene to provide disaster relief to the four residents displaced by this incident.
