On April 21, 2012, just after 6 p.m. Clackamas County 911 received a call of an 18-month-old girl injured in an accident involving a tractor. Boring Fire, American Medical Response and the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office responded.

The toddler was transported by Life Flight to Legacy Emanuel Hospital, where she died as a result of her injuries. The victim is identified as Olivia Burkholder of Boring, Oregon.

Sheriff's Office deputies and detectives -- as well as the Interagency Crime Reconstruction and Forensics Team and the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office -- have investigated the circumstances surrounding the incident. The initial findings are that the death was accidental and was caused by multiple traumatic injuries.

Investigators report that the incident occurred outside the family home. It is believed the young victim sustained crushing injuries when the tractor being operated by her father inadvertently ran over her as it was being parked near the home.

No criminal charges will be pursued.
