Sheriff's Office responds after Oregon DHS car crashes, flips in Oregon City

At about noon on Thursday, June 7, 2012, Clackamas 911 received a call of a single-vehicle crash on S. Springwater Road near S. Harding Road in Oregon City.

When Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived, they found a Ford Taurus flipped over on its top on S. Springwater Road.

The driver and sole occupant, Jamie Hanson, age 29, of Vancouver, Washington, reported attempting to swerve to avoid a pickup truck pulling out into the intersection, losing control of her car, and crashing.

Ms. Hanson was at work at the time of the crash, and is employed by the State of Oregon DHS, assigned to the Child Welfare Unit in North Clackamas County.

Witnesses confirmed Ms. Hanson's version of events.

Ms. Hanson was transported by American Medical Response to Oregon Health & Science University hospital with an unknown level of injury.

Clackamas Fire District #1 responded to the crash scene.

During the crash response and investigation, S. Springwater Road was closed intermittently for about an hour.

No citations were issued.
