At about 4:21 p.m. on June 11, 2012, Clackamas County Sheriffs Office deputies responded to S. Mulino Road and SE 13th Avenue in Canby after callers to 911 reported that a car had crashed into a railroad trestle, injuring the driver.

Deputies identified the injured driver as Alexa Lewis, age 21, of Canby. She was later transported by Life Flight to OHSU with an unknown level of injuries.

Ms. Lewis' car had crashed into an Oregon Railroad trestle at the intersection after she swerved to avoid rear-ending another car.

An Oregon Railroad representative arrived at the scene, examined the damage, and reported to deputies that the trestle would need to be repaired before it could be used.

Canby Police and the Canby Fire Department also responded to the scene.

S. Mulino Road was closed for about two hours while the crash was investigated and the trestle was checked for stability.
