UPDATE: Clackamas murder suspect arrested in Beaverton

At about 10:40 a.m. on Aug. 7, 2012, a multi-agency law enforcement team took Jason Hogan Jr. into custody at the Beaverton Transit Center. Hogan is the suspect in the Aug. 5 murder of Norma Perrone and the attempted murder of Gina Perrone of Clackamas.

The U.S. Marshals, Oregon Fugitive Task Force, Beaverton Police Department, and Multnomah County Warrant Strike Team worked together to locate and take Jason Hogan Jr. into custody without incident.

Hogan was arrested as he crossed over a footbridge at the Beaverton Transit Center.

Hogan was armed with a handgun when he was arrested.

Detectives from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office will be continuing the murder investigation.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office thanks the law-enforcement agencies that made this arrest.  We also thank the public for all the tips we received.  An additional thanks to the media in helping spread the important public-safety message.
