Suspected DUII driver crashes in Clackamas County Sheriff's Office parking lot

At approximately 4:17 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office received a report of a driver appearing to fall asleep at the wheel as he was driving on SE Sunnybrook Blvd in Clackamas. The vehicle, a 1999 Saab, then pulled into the parking lot of the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office building at 9101 SE Sunnybrook Blvd. and crashed into the landscaping in the middle of the parking lot.

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived and found 33-year-old David LaFountain of Portland had been driving the vehicle during the crash.

A subsequent investigation led to Mr. LaFountain being arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII). A breath sample given by Mr. LaFountain later showed he had a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of .10

Mr. LaFountain was booked into the Clackamas County Jail on charges of DUII and Driving while Suspended (Misdemeanor).
