UPDATED: Sheriff's Office investigates fatal truck/pedestrian collision at Clackamas Town Center

UPDATE: Oct. 9, 2012, 3:28 p.m.

The pedestrian is identified as Richard D. Luckado, age 68, of Estacada.  He died at the scene.

The driver of the truck is identified as Clay A. Faulkner, age 51, of Milwaukie.

EARLIER: Oct. 9, 2012, 1:12 p.m.

On October 9, 2012 at about 10:36 am, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a fatal auto/pedestrian collision at Clackamas Town Center near the cinema entrance.

Clackamas Fire District #1 also responded to the scene.

Investigators report that an Allied Waste Services dumpster truck was backing up in a service corridor road when a collision occurred with an adult male pedestrian.

First aid -- including CPR and an AED -- was provided at the scene by Clackamas Town Center security.

The name of the adult male pedestrian is not being released pending notification of the family.

The driver of the truck, Clackamas Town Center, and Allied Waste Services are cooperating fully with the investigation.  The name of the driver is currently being withheld, allowing him to notify his family of the incident.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the Sheriff's Office.
