SURVEILLANCE PHOTO: Keybank Robbery suspect

 At about 1 p.m on January 29, 2013, the suspect in the KeyBank robbery from January 28 was taken into custody.

The suspect, identified as Salvador Ramirez Navarro, age 17, of Milwaukie, Oregon, walked into the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Public Safety Training Center at about 1:00 pm and told the front desk clerk he was wanted for the KeyBank robbery the day before.

Detectives and patrol deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office went to the location and took Mr. Ramirez Navarro into custody.

According to detectives, Mr. Ramirez Navarro gave a full voluntary statement admitting to committing the robbery at the Clackamas KeyBank the day before. 

Detectives did not recover any of the money stolen during the robbery. 

Detectives are looking into the potential that he was provided assistance during the last 24 hours.  Anyone with information about this should contact Clackamas County Sheriff's Office detectives via our Tip Line.

Mr. Ramirez Navarro was booked at the Clackamas County Jail on a warrant for Robbery in the First Degree, a Measure 11 crime.  Then, due to his age of 17 years, he was transported to the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Center to be lodged overnight at the recommendation of the Clackamas County Juvenile Department

A hearing will be held tomorrow to determine appropriate lodging placement. 

Mr. Ramirez Navarro is scheduled for a 2:45 p.m. video appearance tomorrow (Wednesday, Jan. 30) in Clackamas Circuit Court

On January 28, 2013, at about 3:30pm, the KeyBank Sunnyside branch, located at 12550 SE 82nd Avenue, Clackamas, was the victim of a robbery.

The suspect approached a teller, held a large silver knife to an adult female customer's throat, and demanded money. 

The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money.  The suspect then fled from the bank in an unknown direction on foot. He was not seen entering a vehicle.

The customer was not physically injured in the robbery. 

Multiple deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office arrived in the area within two minutes of being dispatched.  A K9 deputy and deputies from the Happy Valley Police Department assisted in the unsuccessful search for the suspect. 

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult, 5'6-5'8" tall, thin build, dark hair, dark eyes, and a wispy moustache.  He was wearing a dark grey or black track style jacket with an "S" on the front left chest area.

The suspect was armed with a large silver colored knife. 

Detectives from the Clackamas County Sheriffs Office are investigating the robbery.
