Just after midnight on Saturday morning (Oct. 19, 2013), a driver crashed through a Milwaukie-area home. No one was injured, and the driver was cited for Careless Driving.

On Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 12:02 a.m., Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the call of a single vehicle crashed into a home near the 17000 block of Shadybrook Drive in unincorporated Milwaukie. Clackamas County Fire District #1 also responded.

James Lee, age 21, of Oregon City, was reportedly driving his 2007 Chrysler 300 east on Shadybrook Drive when he failed to negotiate a corner and crashed into the home. The driver admitted to speeding, and said he was talking to his passenger when the crash occurred.

Neither vehicle occupant was injured. Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash.

Fortunately, the homeowner was in another part of the house and was not injured.

The driver was cited for Careless Driving.

The homeowner does not wish to be contacted by media.

Photos of the crash are linked above.
