Update (Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014): Driver in May 13 Happy Valley fatal crash charged with Manslaughter
The driver of an SUV that hit two motorcycles in Happy Valley on May 13, 2014 -- killing one of the riders -- has been indicted for several alleged crimes.
After an investigation by the Happy Valley Police Department, Adam Lee Schuler, 43, of Milwaukie was indicted by the Clackamas County Grand Jury on the following charges:
• Manslaughter II
• Driving under the Influence of Intoxicants
• Reckless Endangering
A warrant was issued for Schuler's arrest, and he was arrested on Monday, Dec. 15, 2014.
Adam Lee Schuler was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail. Bail is set at $250,000.

EARLIER (May 15, 2014): Names released in fatal crash
The Sheriff's Office can now release the names of those involved in the Happy Valley crash.
The motorcycle rider who was killed in the crash is Michael Anthony Palmeri, 59, from Clackamas.
The other motorcycle rider, who was hit but not injured, is William Lester Billingsley, 44, of Portland.
The driver of the SUV that hit both motorcycles is Adam Lee Schuler, 42, of Milwaukie.
The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is forwarding charges of Reckless Driving to the District Attorney's Office.
EARLIER (May 13, 2014):
At about 6:25 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, Happy Valley Police responded to a fatal traffic crash between a motor vehicle and two motorcycles. The crash occurred on Hwy. 212 near SE 142nd Ave, in Happy Valley. The crash is still under investigation.
At about 6:25 p.m. on May 13, members of the Happy Valley Police Department responded to a report of a traffic accident in the area of Hwy 212 and SE 142nd Ave. in Happy Valley.
The involved vehicles included a 2010 Mazda Tribute, which is a compact sport utility vehicle, and two motorcycles.
Preliminary statements indicate all three vehicles were traveling on Hwy 212. The crash reportedly occurred while the SUV was passing the motorcycles. The SUV struck the motorcycles -- causing one of the riders to be thrown from the motorcycle, onto the roadway and into the path of the SUV. This rider died at the scene.
The deceased rider's name is not being released at this time, pending family notification.
The other drivers reported no other injuries and are not being identified at this time.
The drivers of the SUV and second motorcycle remained on scene, and are cooperating with investigators. It is unknown at this writing whether drugs or alcohol played a part in this incident. The investigation is ongoing.
