Molalla man shot in leg; two arrested

At about 9:45 pm on Saturday, June 28, 2014, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies and Molalla Police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 800 block of W. Main St., an unincorporated area outside of Molalla. Reports indicated a man had been shot in the leg with a shotgun.

Deputies arrived and located Daniel Nyberg, 44, of Molalla, OR, with non-life threatening injuries to his leg. Mr. Nyberg was treated on-scene by Molalla Fire personnel, and transported to Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center.

Based on statements from Mr. Nyberg and other witnesses, the suspect was located at a nearby residence. Through interviewing those involved, Deputies located the shotgun believed to have been used in this incident, as well as a stolen rifle.

The suspect is identified as 43-year-old Brian Alan Keslar, of Molalla. Keslar was arrested and lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on charges of Assault II and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Additionally, during the course of the investigation, deputies learned the shotgun had been removed from the crime scene by Tina Zimmerly, 43 of Molalla, OR. Tina Zimmerly was arrested and lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on charges of Theft I and Tampering with Evidence.
