At 4:40 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the report of a single-vehicle traffic collision with injuries on S. Palmer Rd south of Hwy 213 in Molalla, OR.

Officers from the Molalla Police Department and firefighters from the Molalla Fire Department also responded to assist with this crash.

An investigation revealed the Chevrolet truck was traveling south on S. Palmer Rd at a high rate of speed. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Karnily Bodunov, 18, of Woodburn. Bodunov reportedly drove over the crest of a hill and lost control of the truck -- which caused the vehicle to flip over and land upside-down in a field off the side of the road.

Bodunov suffered head injuries from the collision and was transported by Life Flight to a Portland area hospital.

Bodunov admitted to consuming alcohol and a DUII investigation was conducted.

Bodunov is being charged with DUII, Reckless Endangering and Assault 4.

There were five teenage passengers in the truck. One passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital by the Molalla Fire Department. The other four passengers reported minor injuries and were picked up by family members. All of the passengers admitted to consuming alcohol.
