Unsafe left turn leaves two injured, one transported by Life Flight

Around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to an injury traffic crash on S. Springwater Rd near S. Ester Ct outside the city of Estacada.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash; two occupants of one vehicle had to be extracted by fire personnel.

One patient was transported to the hospital by Life Flight, the other by AMR ambulance.

A Toyota car being driven by Robert Cramer, 70, of Estacada, was reportedly turning from Spingwater Rd. into a driveway. His vehicle turned in front of an oncoming Ford pickup driven by Aaron Schoknecht, 23, of Estacada. The Ford pickup crashed into the passenger side of the Toyota car.

Two people inside the Toyota were injured in the impact and had to be extracted. The driver of the Toyota and Ford received minor injuries in the crash.

Deputies issued the driver of the Toyota, Robert Cramer, a citation for unsafe left turn.

The condition of the two injured passengers is unknown at this time. Their names are not being released at this time.
