Wilsonville Police arrest Washington murder suspect David Michael Kalac

Just after 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, Wilsonville Police contacted a male in the parking lot of the Westside Express Service (WES) transit station at 9699 SW Barber St. in Wilsonville.

While patrolling the parking area, a Wilsonville Police Officer saw the male walk out of a wooded area in the northwest corner of the parking lot. The male approached the police officer and told the officer that he (the male) had a warrant for his arrest.

The Officer identified the male as David Michael Kalac. Kalac has a warrant for his arrest out of Kitsap County, Washington for Homicide.

Kalac was taken into custody without incident.

Wilsonville Police notified detectives from the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office that Kalac was in custody, and Kalac was transported to a Portland Police precinct to be interviewed.

Kalac will be booked into jail in Oregon, then extradited to Washington State.

Three Clackamas County cities -- Damascus, Happy Valley, and Wilsonville -- contract with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office to provide municipal police services.
