At 7:06 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a house in Beavercreek for a welfare check. They had received a 911 call from a female who said she received a message from her stepfather indicating he had killed her mother and would be killing himself.

Deputies responded to the area of S. Butte Rd and S. Jewell Rd in Beavercreek, and found two deceased subjects at the residence.

Detectives were called to the scene to assist with the investigation.

The couple is identified as Charles S. Liljenberg, 72, and his wife, Linda J. Liljenberg, 62. The Liljenbergs were both diagnosed with illnesses. A message and additional evidence found at the scene led investigators to conclude that the Liljenbergs had made an agreement to end their lives due to these illnesses.

Detectives have concluded their investigation at this time.
