Sheriff's Office responds to Bremer Road fatal crash -- single-vehicle, single occupant

The victim who died in a single vehicle crash on Bremer Rd outside of Canby has been identified as Jeffery Douglas Luck, 44 years old, of Oregon City.

EARLIER: Monday, June 15, 2015, 11:23 a.m.

At about 11:17 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2015, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a crash on Bremer Road between Blount and Central Point Road.

The caller reported hearing a car "race by" and then hearing the sound of a crash.

With assistance from Canby Police, responding Sheriff's Office patrol units located the single vehicle, a 2002 Dodge pickup truck, rolled over with a single, deceased occupant.

The inter-agency Criminal Reconstruction and Forensics Team (CRAFT) responded with investigators from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office and Oregon City Police. Their investigation is ongoing, but initial findings include no indicators of alcohol use and confirmation that there was only a single occupant.

The scene investigation was completed at 4:17 a.m. on Monday, June 15, at which time the roadway was re-opened.

The Medical Examiner's Office responded and will conduct their own investigation on the cause and manner of death.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending complete notification of next of kin.
