After autopsy results from the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office the death of Frank Wilson is being investigated as a homicide. Autopsy results show that Frank Wilson died of a gunshot wound to the chest.
Clackamas County Detectives would like to speak with anyone who might have information regarding this incident or who had seen Frank Wilson or his vehicle. This vehicle had a "Vietnam Veteran" sticker in the back window of the cab.
Anyone that saw or spoke with Mr. Wilson on Tuesday, 9/22/15 through Thursday, 9/25/15--or anyone with other pertinent information regarding Mr. Wilson is asked to call the CCSO Tip Line at 503-723-4949.
EARLIER (September 24th, 2015 8:06 PM)
At 10:28 am Thursday, September 24, 2015 a passerby spotted a male in a white pickup parked in the parking lot of the Trillium Lake Snowpark off of Hwy 26 east of Government Camp. The male called 911 and reported the male was obviously deceased. Deputies responded and confirmed his findings.
Deputies determined this to be a suspicious death and called detectives to further investigate. Clackamas County Homicide and Violent Crime Detectives, Crime Scene Reconstructionist and the Clackamas County Medical Examiner responded to the scene.
The cause and manor of death will be further investigated tomorrow during an autopsy.
The male has been identified as Frank Wilson, 68 years old, of Gresham. Frank Wilson was listed as a missing person with the Gresham Police Department. He was report to be driving his vehicle a white 2003 Ford F150 extended cab pickup, Disabled Veteran Oregon license Plate EYHQ. This vehicle was recovered at the scene.
When Frank Wilson was reported missing, he was described as a white male with brown eyes, 6 feet 1 inch tall, and 235 pounds. He has shorter greying hair, a grey mustache, and wears prescription glasses. He was last wearing black dress pants, a red shirt with an automotive business insignia, and white shoes.
Anyone who has seen or had contact with Frank Wilson or his vehicle in the last 48 hours is urged to contact the Clackamas County tip line.
