Sheriff's Office responds to armed robbery at local restaurant; tips sought

Just before 12 noon on Saturday, March 5, 2016, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies and Milwaukie Police officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Kwang Chow Chinese Restaurant, located at 7980 SE King Rd. in unincorporated Clackamas County.

The victim reported that a single female suspect entered the business, demanded cash from the cashier, displayed a handgun and threatened to shoot the employee. When the cashier refused the demand, the suspect fled the restaurant and the area on a bicycle into the surrounding neighborhood.

Deputies and officers searched the area, but the suspect's location was not revealed.

The suspect is described as follows:

  • Caucasian female
  • Roughly 20 years old
  • Approximately 5' to 5'2" tall
  • Medium build
  • Short curly brown hair
  • The suspect was seen wearing a light blue floral shirt, blue jeans, and dark glasses.
