Crash involving pedestrian shuts down SE 82nd Dr

On Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 8:15 p.m., the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a crash on SE 82nd Dr., near the entrance to Fred Meyer.

A vehicle traveling on SE 82nd Dr. had hit a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway.

The pedestrian, an adult male, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle stayed on-scene and is cooperating with investigators.

Witnesses said the pedestrian ran across the road in the intersection. They reported the vehicle had a green light at the time. Further details are still being investigated.

SE 82nd Dr. is currently shut down in both directions at the scene of the crash and traffic is being diverted though a nearby parking lot. The roadway should reopen in a couple of hours.

The Criminal Reconstruction And Forensic Team (CRAFT) is on-scene investigating the crash.

The names of those involved will not be released until family notifications have been made.
