UPDATED: Deputies respond after 2-year-old falls from third-story window

UPDATE: April 20, 2016, 8:38 p.m.

The 2-year old who fell from the third-story window is in stable condition at OHSU at this writing (April 20, 2016, 8:38 p.m.).

A 5-year-old also fell out of the same window prior to the 2-year-old falling. The 5-year-old sustained "very minor injuries," according to detectives.

Both falls have been determined to be accidental.

EARLIER: April 20, 2016, 6:16 p.m.

At approximately 5:10 p.m. on April 20, 2016, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies and AMR and Clackamas Fire District #1 personnel responded to Sequoia Village (11236 SE Causey Circle, Happy Valley) on a report of a 2-year-old who had fallen out of a window.

Authorities determined that the 2-year-old had fallen out of a third-story window onto a second-story wooden deck.

Life Flight was approximately a half- hour away, so the child was transported to OHSU by AMR ambulance.

Sheriff's Office detectives are en route to investigate.
