Deputies respond to domestic in rural Estacada with shots fired

Firearm usedAt about 4 p.m. on May 2, 2016 , the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a domestic disturbance involving a gun in the 40000 block of SE George Rd., which is in in the unincorporated area of Clackamas County, outside of Estacada. Multiple gunshots were reported to have been fired.

A single suspect was identified as Lynn Hakala, a 54-year-old woman from Estacada. Three other residents, including the suspect's two 18-year-old daughters, were able to escape from the property and meet with deputies to describe what happened.

The exact nature of the disturbance is unclear; however it is reported to stem from a conflict in living arrangements in the household. The suspect allegedly fired several rounds from a handgun as she demanded the other residents get off the property.

The suspect surrendered to Deputies at the scene, and was taken into custody without incident. She was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail, charged with Menacing, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and two counts of Harassment. Total bail is set at $29,500.
