Child Abuse Team arrests man, 47, on multiple sex-abuse charges; additional victims sought

Suspect Nick A. Barger, age 47 On Tuesday, June 14, 2016, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Child Abuse Team detectives arrested Nick Allen Barger, 47, of Milwaukie. Barger was lodged in Clackamas County Jail on several counts of Rape in the First Degree; Sodomy in the First Degree; Sexual Abuse in the First Degree; Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree; and Incest.

The arrest stemmed from an investigation into Nick Barger allegedly sexually abusing his two minor biological daughters. The alleged abuse began when one of the victims was as young as age 5 and lasted until the victims were in their late teens, which occurred in Clackamas County as well as multiple other counties within Oregon.

The known victims are now adults.

The criminal case was referred to the Clackamas County District Attorney's Office. On Thursday, June 23, Barger was indicted on multiple criminal acts -- including Ballot Measure 11 crimes of Rape I, Sodomy I and Unlawful Sexual Penetration.
