'K9 Hero' plushiesOn Friday, Dec. 23, active and retired Clackamas County Sheriff's Office K9s will gather at the Starbucks at McLoughlin & Concord for a "K9 Appreciation Day" fundraiser to help CCSO's retired canine deputies.

And you'll be able to purchase our dogs as last-minute stocking stuffers -- in plushie form.

Our retired and active K9s will visit the Starbucks (15790 SE McLoughlin Blvd., Oak Grove, OR 97267; map) on Friday, Dec 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Retired K9s Nero and Kilo are slated to attend -- as well as active K9s Marco, Spencer and Vito.

Friends of Clackamas County K9 will also be on hand selling its new "K9 Hero" line of stuffed animals. Each stuffed animal is a replica of a current working Sheriff's Office K9 (photos attached). You can buy each plushie for $20 or the entire set for $100. At this writing, you will ONLY be able to buy these plushies at the Dec. 23 event, and supplies are limited -- first come, first served.

You'll also be able to pick up copies of our K9 trading cards and free "Mik & Nero" crime-prevention comic and activity books.

All money raised at this event will go directly to Friends of Clackamas County K9 -- a non-profit that helps support our retired K9s in the form of food and medical care. For more information visit the Friends of Clackamas County K9 Facebook page.

Follow Friends of Clackamas County K9 on Facebook for updates on when the next shipment of stuffed animals will be available for purchase.
