UPDATE -- ADDITIONAL VIDEO: Sheriff's Office seeks tips in string of fires along 82nd Drive in Clackamas; surveillance photo, video available
UPDATE (Thursday, June 15) -- ADDITIONAL SURVEILLANCE FOOTAGE, POSSIBLY OF SAME SUSPECT; TIPS SOUGHT
The Sheriff's Office is still seeking tips in the string of arson fires along 82nd Drive in Clackamas -- and can now provide surveillance video from a Feb. 21 arson that MAY involve the same suspect.
A new video featuring surveillance footage from a Feb. 21 dumpster arson at Human Bean and the May 26 dumpster arson at Elmer's is now available for download on our Dropbox.
In the Feb. 21 arson, the suspect walks up to the dumpster at the Human Bean (9839 SE Elon St., Clackamas), lights a fire and walks away.
The Human Bean is in close proximity to the later arson incidents -- the Human Bean and the Elmer's are less than a half-mile's walk apart.
Investigators believe the suspect in the Feb. 21 arson and the suspect in the May 25-26 arsons MAY be the same individual. The Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to identify the suspect(s) in these videos.
Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to contact the Sheriff's Office Tip Line -- by phone at 503-723-4949 or by using the online email form. Please reference CCSO Case # 17-12661.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. on Friday, May 26, 2017, Clackamas Fire District #1's Truck 8 responded to multiple fires that are believed to be intentionally set:
INCIDENT 1: The first fire was at the Department of Human Services (DHS) building (16440 SE 82nd Dr. in unincorporated Clackamas County). Clackamas Fire's Truck 8 arrived to find a small pile of garbage burning on the north side of the DHS/CrossFit Timber building.
INCIDENT 2: While responding, CCOM dispatchers advised Truck 8 of a second fire -- an additional dumpster fire behind Elmer's Restaurant (16087 SE 82nd Dr.). Engine 4 was dispatched to the Elmer's fire.
Truck 8 was cleared of the first incident and recalled Engine 4, and Sheriff's Office and Clackamas Fire investigators were requested.
INCIDENT 3: Later in the morning of Friday, May 26, Truck 8 was dispatched to a small fire in the landscaping on the east side of ProBuild (15877 SE 98th Ave.). Truck 8 arrived and found the fire had been extinguished by an employee with a dry chemical extinguisher.
INCIDENT 4: Investigators soon learned there was an additional arson incident the day before (on Thursday, May 25) -- a dumpster fire at Pacific Pride (10011 SE Hwy. 212). Investigators believe it is related to the May 26 incidents.
