Sheriff's Office detectives investigate Sept. 24 stabbing; arrest made, tips sought

At approximately 7:26 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, Oregon City Police officers responded to the area of Highway 213 and Beavercreek Rd. in Oregon City to locate a male subject who had called 911 to report being stabbed.

Officers located the injured subject along Highway 213 north of Beavercreek Rd.

Clackamas Fire District #1 and American Medical Response responded to the scene and gave the subject immediate medical attention; due to the possible seriousness of the injury, the victim was transported by ambulance to a nearby location where Life Flight was staged. He was then flown to an area hospital for medical treatment. At this writing (Sept. 24, 2017, 11:18 p.m.) the victim's condition is unknown.

It was determined this incident occurred outside Oregon City limits, in a wooded area that fell under the jurisdiction of the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies worked with the Oregon City Police, Clackamas County Sheriff's K9 Unit and members of the Clackamas County SWAT Team to locate the other involved subject.

The subject was detained, and is cooperating with the investigation. Detectives from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office also responded to investigate.

At this writing (Sept. 24, 2017, 11:18 p.m.), it is believed all involved parties are accounted for and there is no danger to the public.

The names of the involved parties are being withheld at this time as the investigation continues.
