Several local agencies worked together to arrest a suspect in armed robberies in Happy Valley, Oregon City and Gladstone.
At about 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, an armed robbery was reported at Sports on Tap (16021 SE Happy Valley Town Center Dr., Happy Valley). The suspect presented a handgun, pointing it at the bartender. An undisclosed amount of money was taken.
Investigators identified the suspect as 26-year-old Gary Kamuela Kealoha.
On Jan. 30, 2018, another armed robbery occurred at 1321 Main Street in Oregon City. An undisclosed amount of money was taken, and the suspect was again identified as Gary Kealoha.
Investigators soon learned the Gladstone Police Department was working an Oct. 7, 2017 armed robbery in which Mr. Kealoha was the suspect.
An arrest warrant was written for Mr. Kealoha and signed by a Clackamas County judge. The warrant information was given to the U.S. Marshals Service -- who contacted and arrested Mr. Kealoha on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018.
This case was investigated by detectives from Happy Valley Police, Gladstone Police and the Oregon City Police Department.
Gary Kamuela Kealoha, 26, is currently lodged in Clackamas County Jail on an extensive list of charges that includes:
- Assault IV
- Theft III
- Robbery I (two counts)
- Theft I (two counts)
- Unlawful Use of a Weapon
- Probation Violation: Coercion
- Probation Violation: Assault IV
