UPDATE (Feb. 27, 2018, 2:30 p.m.) -- VICTIM ID


The victim in yesterday's murder has been identified as Michael Lee Black, 40, of Portland. Mr. Black's family has been notified.

EARLIER (Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, 11:05 a.m.) -- SHERIFF'S OFFICE, HAPPY VALLEY PD ARREST MAN IN FEB. 26 MURDER

Booking photo: Robert FountainAt approximately 10:20 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, Happy Valley Police and Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to 13170 SE 162nd Ave., #340, Happy Valley on what was first reported as a 911 hang-up call, later modified to a domestic disturbance.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 40-year-old male deceased at the scene with multiple stab wounds.

Deputies detained at the scene suspect Robert Matthew Fountain, 20, of Happy Valley.

Mr. Fountain was transported to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries; he was then he was transported to Clackamas County Jail and booked on one count of Murder. His booking photo is linked above. He is being held without bail. Complete booking info is available here.

Identity of the deceased will be made public once family notifications have been completed.
