Clackamas County hosts screening of film “Resilience” as part of Child Abuse Prevention Month events

Clackamas County will host a viewing and discussion of the documentary “Resilience: The Biology of Stress & The Science of Hope” on Monday, April 1, followed by a Pinwheel Planting Celebration in honor of all the children of Clackamas County during Child Abuse Prevention Month.

"Resilience" Film Screening and Talk

The Early Learning Hub of Clackamas County invites you to a viewing of the documentary “Resilience: The Biology of Stress & The Science of Hope” followed by a guided community discussion focused on practical tools to help build resilience in children and adults, and a look at our own local supports and strengths for families. This event is followed by a Pinwheel Planting Celebration in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month. The blue pinwheels represent the important role we each play in ensuring every child has an equal opportunity for healthy growth and development.

Pinwheel Planting Celebration in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month

In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month, community partners are invited to plant pinwheels in the Red Soils Circle of Honor. The blue pinwheels remind us of the important role we each play in ensuring every child has an equal opportunity for healthy growth and development. You are also invited to attend the preceding event at 2 p.m. featuring a viewing of the documentary “Resilience: The Biology of Stress & The Science of Hope” followed by a community discussion by registering here.
