John S. Foote
Mr. Foote is a graduate of Lewis and Clark, Northwestern School of Law in Portland, Oregon. He previously served as Acting Director and Assistant Director/Inspector General of the Oregon Department of Corrections (1990-95); serves on a variety of public and private boards including Past President of the Oregon District Attorney’s Association, Past President of the Clackamas County Bar Association, Past Chair of the Clackamas County Children’s Center for sexually abused children, Past Chair of the Board of Directors of Parrott Creek Child and Family Services for at risk youth, Past Chair of Clackamas County Public Safety Coordinating Council, Past Chair of the Regional Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force, and Member of Oregon High Intensity Drug Task Force (HIDTA). He also served on the Governor’s 2012 Public Safety Commission.
Mr. Foote has been a leader in several innovative local justice initiatives including the Clackamas County Interagency Task Force (ITF), the Community Prosecution Program, the Clackamas County Mental Health Court, the Clackamas County Community Court, the Clackamas County Domestic Violence Emergency Response Team and the HOPE Probation Program.
