On Tuesday evening, Oct. 25, 2022, Rock Creek Middle School staff and North Clackamas School District officials alerted the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office about the receipt of an emailed bomb threat directed at Rock Creek Middle School.

The School Resource Officer (SRO) for Rock Creek Middle School and CCSO detectives immediately launched an investigation.

The threat was similar to an earlier email threat to the same middle school, received and investigated on Thursday, Oct 13. That threat caused Rock Creek Middle School officials to evacuate the school out of an abundance of caution.

On the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 26, the juvenile believed responsible for the Oct. 25 threat was contacted by law enforcement. Investigators determined the juvenile was responsible for both the Oct. 13 and Oct. 25 email threats. Both email threats were found to be hoaxes.

The juvenile responsible for the threats was taken into custody and transported to the Clackamas County Juvenile Intake and Assessment Center on two counts of Disorderly Conduct in the First Degree.
