Today, Thursday, July 17, 2025, Steve Woolcock was arraigned in Clackamas County Circuit Court on one count of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, one count of Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree, and three counts of Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree. The charges stem from a criminal investigation by Oregon State Police.
In February, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office was notified by Oregon State Police that they were conducting a criminal investigation into conduct that occurred while off-duty. Woolcock, who is employed as a Civil Deputy, was immediately placed on paid administrative leave in accordance with Clackamas County Personnel Policies and Procedures, section 2.05.150.2(H) (https://dochub.clackamas.us/documents/drupal/aa0bd99c-5300-4686-a309-238feea996de)
At the conclusion of their investigation, the Oregon State Police referred the case to the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office, which reviewed the case and filed formal charges.
As a result of the felony charges, Woolcock’s administrative leave status has been changed to unpaid administrative leave.
Woolcock is currently being held in the Clackamas County Jail on $250,000 bail.
