Peer Support Program

"Peer Support" is a mental-health resource for Sheriff's Office employees. In a Peer Support program, teams of fellow sworn and non-sworn personnel provide emotional backup -- including discussions, debriefings, and education -- following emotionally taxing critical incidents. A "critical incident" can be anything outside the range of normal experience -- including officer-involved shootings, responding to accident scenes, stressful divorces, and lawsuits. These counseling support groups are provided for under ORS 181.860.

Clackamas County's Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is for Clackamas County employees and eligible dependents.

Cascade Centers has an extensive specialized network of providers who are familiar with the unique challenges faced by public safety employees and their families. They offer Work/Life Balance Programs, Wellness Programs and Coaching, Behavioral Health Risk Assessment, Organizational Training and Development, and much more. All services are confidential.

  Clackamas County's Family Justice Center -- where survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and vulnerable adult abuse can access many of their services under one roof.

  Local non-profit serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Clackamas County. Services include: 24 hour hotline, emergency housing, children's program, and public education/outreach.

• Clackamas County Child Abuse Hotline
  Child protective services is the part of the Department of Human Services (DHS) that responds to child abuse reports. CPS-trained caseworkers across the state listen to reports of abuse, assess the situations and prepare service plans to assist children and families.
