On Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a reported stabbing at the Fox Pointe Apartments on SE Roethe Road in Milwaukie.

Deputies arrived at the scene and spoke with the victim and several witnesses, and learned the circumstances that led to the stabbing:

  • The 17-year-old male victim had been inside an apartment with his 18-year-old girlfriend, the girlfriend's juvenile sister, the girls' mother, and the mother's boyfriend.
  • The male stabbing suspect -- later identified as Marion Jack Jameson, 60, of Milwaukie -- was outside the apartment, yelling insults at the mother.
  • The mother came outside, interacted with Mr. Jameson, possibly giving him money, and went back inside. Mr. Jameson reportedly remained upset.
  • The victim -- a 17-year-old male -- then went outside to confront Jameson as he was walking away. The victim followed Jameson.
  • Marion Jameson then reportedly turned around, struck the victim in the upper back, and walked away.
  • The victim realized he'd been stabbed when blood started running down his arm as he walked back to the apartment.
  • The mother called 911, gave the phone to her daughters, and reportedly told them she had to leave. The mother and her boyfriend then left the scene.
  • Several Sheriff's Office deputies and a Lake Oswego Police K9 responded to the apartment complex. A search using the K9 led authorities in the direction of a nearby residence. Suspect Marion Jameson exited the house and was detained.
  • Witnesses confirmed Mr. Jameson was in fact the suspect who stabbed the 17-year-old boy. The victim and witnesses told authorities they did not know Jameson.

Jameson was placed under arrest and booked into the Clackamas County Jail on charges including Assault II and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Bail was set at $250,000. A booking photo is attached. Complete booking info is here: https://web3.clackamas.us/roster/#inmates

The victim was transported to an area hospital, treated for his injury, and released.

Sheriff's Office detectives and crime scene investigators also responded to the scene to collect and process evidence and conduct interviews. Detectives are in the process of contacting the mother and boyfriend to obtain their statements. (The mother's boyfriend was identified as Randy James Green, 33, of Portland. Randy Green currently has a warrant for failing to appear on an Assault III charge out of Clackamas County. A prior booking photo of Mr. Green is linked above.)

The stabbing case has been forwarded to the Clackamas County DA's Office for prosecution. Deputies have also been in contact with Oregon's Department of Human Services (DHS) regarding this incident.
