On Tuesday, June 27, 2023, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office arrested a man from Southeast Portland suspected of luring a child for the purposes of sexual contact.

The suspect responded to an undercover detective’s online post where they were posing as a 15-year-old girl. During the suspect’s conversations with the detective, the suspect identified himself as being between 36 and 44 years old. The man continued to message sexually explicit content with the undercover detective for several days before agreeing to meet in person.

The man, later identified as Sean William Clark, age 53, arrived at an agreed upon meeting location in the Clackamas area. A team comprising Sheriff’s Office detectives, the Milwaukie Police Department, and Clackamas County Interagency Task Force (CCITF) deputies was there to meet him, and took Clark into custody without incident.

Clark was taken to the Clackamas County Jail on charges of luring a minor and online sexual corruption of a child in the first degree. He is being held on $100,000 bail. Complete booking information is available here: https://web3.clackamas.us/roster/#inmates

Clark is a registered sex offender stemming from a 2016 conviction out of Washington State in which he used an app to meet a 14-year-old girl from Vancouver for sexual contact in his vehicle. Detectives believe there could be additional victims.
