On Friday, Aug. 6, 2021, Canby Police conducted a traffic stop on a violation. During the stop, Canby Police identified the driver as 40-year-old Vitaliy Yasinskiy. He was accompanied by a minor female.

Earlier this year, on June 10, detectives and deputies with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Adult Sex Crimes Unithad arrested Yasinskiy on four counts of Rape in the 3rd Degree, five counts of Sex Abuse in the 3rd Degree, four counts of Sodomy in the 3rd Degree, seven counts of Online Sexual Corruption of a Child in the 1st Degree, and six counts of Prostitution. Yasinskiy posted bail after this June 10 arrest, and was out of custody during Canby PD's Aug. 6 traffic stop.

Concerned for the girl's safety, the Canby Police officer contacted detectives from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Adult Sex Crimes Unit, who responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.

Yasinskiy was subsequently arrested on a new charge of Sex Abuse in the 3rd Degree. A new booking photo is linked above.
