5. Mountain Minute Speaker:  Seth Tinker, Owner Hoodland Sport and Fitness. Seth will help share the benefits of gym workouts whether slow going plans to basic fitness or more challenging workouts. He can also address the fully paid memberships under some Medicare health plans.
6. Featured Speaker: Aaron Bayer, Superintendent of the Oregon Trail School District.   Superintendent Bayer works with the District Board of Directors to ensure all Oregon Trail students arrive at the future they deserve. He has served as Oregon Trail School District Superintendent since fall 2011. He will be speaking on specific challenges the school district faces and plans to meet those challenges efficiently and effectively.

Board Meeting Minutes

September 11, 2025

In attendance: Pat Erdenberger, Marti Bowne, Marie Kennedy, Seaberg Einarsson, Lisa Massena. Absent: Monica Taylor, Peter Himes. Two community member in attendance.

Meeting called to order at 5:33pm by Pat.

The meeting minutes from July were approved by the Board through email and have been distributed.
Treasurers Report. Marti reports no change.

HECN/GMRS Report. Marti. There are now over 50 GMRS with call signs in the Mt Hood Corridor. Repeater 19 in Rhododendron is scheduled for activation on 9/12/25. Next will be a repeater up Road 39 (Kiwanas Camp Rd). Firwood will come along when more resources available.

Land Use Applications and Community Concerns – Marti.

Z0140-25 – 69368 E Island Rd. In review at the County.

Z20204-24 – E Welches Rd. Six-lot subdivision. LUC/HCPO commented to the County and is awaiting final decision from the County.

V0004824/V0001523/V002864 – 67295/67285 E Lost Shelter. The owner has applied and been granted building permits to return the two structures to their original condition.
V0015525 – Brightwood Lp. Unpermitted wedding venue. LUC will review on 9/19/25 and comment to the County.

E Manape – Citizen complaint, illegal campsite. LUC members visited the site and has written Code Enforcement, who will visit the site. County has contacted the owner.

65501 E Woodmere – Citizen complaint new construction too close to existing cabin. Building Dept has been notified and LUC is awaiting response.

Salmon River Rd – Clear cut. Citizen complaint that neighborhood well may be affected and cleared steep slope abutting street. Oregon Dept of Forestry notified. ODF reviewed and states well protected and landslide danger is remote.

Welches Rd – Clear cut. Citizen complaint never replanted. ODF notified, awaiting response.

E Country Club and E Hwy 26 – Citizen complaint never replanted. ODF notified, awaiting response.

Speakers Committee. Lisa. September Community Meeting will feature Julie Lazar of Orchid Health speaking to services offered. Joe Larson, Director of Golf for the Mt Hood Oregon Resort, will host the Mountain Minute.

The October 16th Community Meeting will be held at 7pm in the Osprey Room, Mt Hood Oregon Resort and will feature a representative of the Oregon Trail School District to discuss and answer questions on the Oregon Trail SD bond measure.

November meeting, November 20, same time and location. Speaker TBD.

No community meetings in December and January with Zoom meeting in February, speakers TBD.

New Business.

Murph Murphy, member in attendance and a board member of the Clackamas County Planning Commission, states ZD0290 Project Team is working to make clear and objective code amendments and bring in line with State of Oregon goals that are applicable in Clackamas County.
