Clackamas man who shot his son-in-law arraigned on murder charge

OREGON CITY, Or. -- A 72-year-old Clackamas man accused of killing his son-in-law was charged with murder in Clackamas County Circuit Court on Monday.

David Lynn Jurgenson was arraigned on charges on Murder in the Second Degree, two counts of Unlawful Use of Weapon and two counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

Jurgenson was arrested on Aug. 1 after shooting Marc Richard Floyd, 37, after a domestic dispute at Jurgenson’s home on Southeast Easthampton Street. Floyd’s wife (Jurgenson’s daughter) and 17-month-old child were in the home at the time of the shooting.  

Jurgenson is being held without bail at the Clackamas County Jail. His next court appearance is at 2 p.m. Aug. 11.
