Appointment meeting set for House District 51 replacement

Public comments to be taken

OREGON CITY, Or. -- Following the appointment of former Rep. Christine Drazan to the State Senate, Clackamas County Commissioners will hold a session at 10 a.m. this coming Monday, Nov. 17 to interview candidates and select a replacement for the open House District 51 position. 

Clackamas County Chair Craig Roberts encourages the public to provide written comment. Members of the public who wish to provide comments to the commission should email bcc@clackamas.us by 7 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 17. All comments will be relayed to each commissioner. 

The meeting will be held on Zoom only, and the public is also welcome to watch virtually and provide comments live over Zoom. See how to join.

Finalists for the open position were selected by the state Republican Party (as deemed by state law), since Drazan belongs to that party. 

The three nominees are:

• Carl Exner
• Dana Hindman-Allen
