OREGON CITY, Or. -- A Molalla man who sexually assaulted four young women, sometimes after giving them alcohol, was sentenced Monday to 110 months in prison.
Christian Duane Griffith, 21, pled guilty in Clackamas County Circuit Court to Attempted Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree, three counts of Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree and Sexual Abuse in the Third-Degree. Other charges, including furnishing alcohol to minors, were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
The charges involved Griffith providing alcohol to teenagers and pressuring them to engage in nonconsensual sexual touching. While most women were over the age of 18, one victim was a 16-year-old minor.
Over time, Griffith’s conduct became more aggressive, leading to one incident where Griffith was socializing with a 19-year-old female acquaintance at her home and forced her to her to engage in sexual acts.
“What happened to me has had a deep and lasting impact on my life. Before this, I felt safe, confident, and focused on my future. Since then, my sense of security has been taken away. I experience fear, anxiety, and emotional distress that I never had before,” one of Griffith’s victims said in a statement.
Deputy District Attorney Jeffrey Nitschke prosecuted the case.
