Clackamas County is investing in its tourism economy by launching a new, one-time Tourism Business Grant Program. Applications are open May 14 through June 18.
Administered by the Clackamas County Office of Economic Development and funded through Transient Lodging Tax dollars allocated by county tourism, the program was created to address a long-standing challenge for the tourism industry: securing long-term investments in business growth is difficult. For tourism businesses, whether a tour operator, lodging provider, attraction, or hospitality-related service, traditional grant opportunities are few and far between. This program was designed to fill that gap.
Two Ways to Apply
The program offers two distinct funding tracks:
Small Business Acceleration Track: for capital investments, physical improvements, or workforce development projects to help small businesses reach the next level.
Technical & Professional Services Track: for more established businesses with projects that require specialized expertise to remove barriers to business growth.
Who Should Apply
If you own or operate a tourism-related business located in Clackamas County, you may be eligible. Applications are reviewed on clear, documented criteria, and formal grant agreements will be in place for all awards. Not all applicants will receive funding, but all applicants will receive clear communication about eligibility and decisions.
