This summer, North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) is bringing the community together with a variety of free, inclusive and family-friendly events and activities designed to keep residents active, connected and entertained all season long.
From outdoor movies and live music to wave pool adventures, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Here's a preview of NCPRD's summer lineup:
Movies in the Park | Saturdays, July 18-August 8
Grab a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy free movies under the stars at your local parks. Spend warm summer evenings with family and friends watching big-screen favorites, including:
- July 18, Zootopia 2, Risley Park
- July 25, Lilo & Stitch, Ann-Toni Schreiber Park
- Aug. 1, How to Train Your Dragon (Spanish subtitles), Mt. Scott Elementary
- August 8, Elemental, Pfeifer Park
Concerts in the Park | July 10, 14, 22
Get ready for memorable summer evenings with the return of our popular Concert in the Park series. These free concerts will feature a diverse lineup of performances for all ages, along with delicious local food vendors. This year's featured performers include:
- July 10, 5:30-7 p.m., Red Yarn (Folk Music/Puppetry), Concord Park
- July 14, 7-8 p.m., Chamber Music NW, North Clackamas Park
- July 22, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Blonde Neon (80s Rock & New Wave), Concord Park
Big Surf Recreation Swim | June 13-Aug. 23 | Monday-Sunday | 12:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Starting June 13, North Clackamas Aquatic Park will expand summer hours for its popular Big Surf Recreation Swim. Open daily to the public, Big Surf offers 400,000 gallons of staycation-style fun for all ages, featuring three water slides, a 29-foot rock-climbing wall, Oregon's largest wave pool with 4-foot waves, a kiddie pool for children under 6, a hot tub for adults ages 18 and older, and more. Reservations can be made at ncprd.org/big-surf.
